The resumption date for the remainder of the PSL was announced as 1st June 2021 by PCB but after that, they announced that it will resume from the 5th of July. But now after some of the players of Quetta Gladiator were unable to travel to Abu Dhabi due to some visa issues.

Sarfraz Ahmed and Zeeshan Ashraf along with some others reached Bahrain today and will travel to Abu Dhabi by road. Still, match officials and broadcasters are unable to travel and some are in quarantine in Karachi hotel. 8 Indian broadcasters and 2 coaches reached the United Arab Emirates last Saturday. Broadcasters ensured the system is worthy and is set up as their will.
Along with them different players also reached various airports of UAE last Saturday. Most of them were South African. These players include Faf Du Plessis, Riley Roussow, Cameron Delport, and David Miller. Pakistan’s all-rounder Muhammad Nawaz also reached along with others.
The South African coaches Herschelle Gibbs and Michael Smith have also reached the United Arab Emirates. Initially, South Africa and India were on the red list due to the pandemic, so traveling in the meantime was a difficult task because the PSL was about to restart on June 5th.
Also, they have to complete the quarantine period as well as suggested by the UAE management so it will not be possible to start PSL on 5th June.
Moreover, the Pakistan team has to travel to England as well for their summer schedule against them. The date for Pakistan to leave was 23rd June 2021. But now it is getting really difficult, to sum up, the PSL 6 before this date. Therefore, PCB is contacting England Cricket Board to give them 2 more spare days after 23rd June to complete the ongoing tournament.
Before that PCB also contacted ECB to allow them to have PSL in England after there was no response from UAE. Before ECB replied the UAE gave the green signal to Pakistan to hold the PSL there with strict SOPs.
All other teams other than some players of Quetta have reached UAE. So, we’ll be unable to see Quetta Gladiator in action on the first day of resumption or if things get further delay they will be unable to play for 2 more days.
The match will be played between Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United as both teams have played only 4 matches each. All the others teams have played 5 matches each. We might also see doubleheaders throughout the tournament as well in order to complete the tournament ASAP.

All this stuff has given a negative message all around the world from Pakistan. Everyone will be talking to this miss management and all those visa issues. But if the PSL will successfully be finished then this will turn into a better and positive impact. But still, credits go to PCB to keep things going and rescheduling the PSL 6 in a very little space of time. We can hope that we will see tough competition in the remainder.
